MTC partnered with the City and County of Denver to complete an ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan, which included an assessment of facilities, parks, and website accessibility.

The City and County of Denver identified its policies and practices and we analyzed whether these policies and practices adversely affect the full participation of individuals with disabilities in its programs, activities, and services. In addition to reviewing, verifying, and revising all policies, procedures, and practices, Denver tasked MTC with surveying their City and County buildings, for identifying all architectural or physical barriers.

MTC then created a transition plan for all facilities which will continue to be utilized to document the status and progress of their barrier removal. For each data record collected, MTC provided an assessment of the level of importance of the recommended mitigation, along with the difficulty anticipated for implementing the recommendation. Based on an objective analysis of the data, the transition plan database assigned a suggested milestone date for mitigation.
